How to Change Class in Pixel Lineage: New Saves and Slots
Understand Pixel Lineage's new-save class selection, additional character slots, retirement and wipe routes, and the limits of in-place class resets.
Trying a different starting class in Pixel Lineage means selecting it on a new character save. ItzVexo’s October 22, 2026 guide describes an additional character slot or a restart after a wipe or retirement. It does not demonstrate changing the current hero’s class while keeping that hero’s progress.
Retirement and wiping are restart routes, not ordinary skill resets. The video does not establish every item or account-level benefit that is lost or retained. Before confirming either action, the current confirmation screen matters more than an assumption that only the class will change.
The routes described in the guide
| Route | What happens in the guide | Class-selection consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Additional character slot | Another character save can be created. | Select a starting class for that new save. |
| Retire the hero | The current hero is retired and character selection can begin again. | Select the class during the replacement character’s creation. |
| Restart after a wipe | A wiped character is followed by a fresh start. | Choose a class for the new character rather than respec the old one. |
Additional slot: the quoted price
At 0:48, the creator quotes 100 Robux for an extra character slot and describes the absence of a direct class-change option. That is the price stated in the October 22 video, not a guarantee of today’s purchase screen.
The slot product provides space for another character save. Check the product and current quoted price before payment.
Starting the new character
- Identify the save route. An additional slot and replacing a retired or wiped character have different consequences for the existing save.
- Create the fresh character. The starting class is selected during creation, rather than changed through the current hero’s battle skills.
- Read the class choice before confirming. This choice sets the starting route for the character being created.
- Check the new character’s class panel. Its displayed base class is the starting point for later Super progression.
The guide introduces the new-save distinction at 0:08 and describes retirement at 1:22. Its wipe discussion is an explanation of a restart state, not a required method of intentionally losing a character to try another class.
Can an existing Super or Ultra branch be reset?
The new-save method does not establish an in-place reset of a Super or Ultra. Selecting a base class for a replacement character is different from changing the branch already developed by an existing hero.
For example, starting a new Spear character is separate from changing a current Spear hero between Halberdier, Valkyrie, and Dragoon. Their progression milestones are listed in the Spear guide; general branch requirements are covered in the Super and Ultra reference.
