Pixel Lineage Whetstones: Blacksmith Upgrade Guide
The six named Whetstones, item-specific honing requirements, and one Thundering Hunting Bow upgrade example.
Whetstones are materials used for equipment honing at the Blacksmith. An upgrade offer identifies the required material alongside its Gold cost, target level, success chance, and any displayed failure rules. Requirements belong to the selected item and offer.
Whetstone names
The game’s named materials include:
- Rough Whetstone
- Fine Whetstone
- Azure Whetstone
- Violet Whetstone
- Sunforged Whetstone
- Starmetal Whetstone
Each name identifies a separate material. A color, name, or position in this list does not establish compatibility with a particular item, an enhancement band, or a success bonus. The selected upgrade menu supplies the applicable requirement.
The community-reported LEGENDS reward includes Sunforged and Violet Whetstones. A reported reward describes acquisition of those items, not their equipment compatibility or the outcome of a forge attempt. The code list separates reported rewards from the game’s redemption result.
Blacksmith upgrade process
- Open the restored Blacksmith. Building restoration unlocks the facility; an upgrade attempt is a separate transaction.
- Select equipment. The offer applies to that item and its next target level.
- Read the exact material. The required name and quantity determine which stock is usable.
- Read the cost and outcome information. Gold, success chance, and displayed failure rules are separate fields.
- Inspect the attempt result. The resulting item level and attributes establish what changed; a following offer has its own requirements.
A success chance below 100% allows failure. A successful attempt does not determine the result of the next attempt.
Example: Fine Whetstones on a Hunting Bow
During one Human Archer’s Normal progression, a Thundering Hunting Bow received these offers:

Both attempts succeeded, and the +2 bow displayed +6 ATK afterward. These values describe this bow and these target levels. They do not establish that Fine Whetstones are preferable to another material or usable for other item offers.
Example preparation costs
The two successful attempts totaled 150 Gold and two Fine Whetstones. The same castle example included 150 Gold and five minutes to restore the Blacksmith building, bringing that example preparation to 300 Gold and two Fine Whetstones, before other purchases.
The Alchemist quoted 25 Gold per healing potion in that progression example. This supply offer was separate from the forge transactions. Other items, target levels, service quotes, and failed attempts can produce different totals.
Read the upgrade level and ATK separately
Before honing, the example bow displayed +5 ATK at forge +0. After two successful upgrades, its forge level was +2 and the attack attribute displayed +6 ATK.
The enhancement level and attack attribute are separate item fields. Their values in this example do not establish a universal amount of ATK gained per upgrade.
